Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a top client who is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager with strong Costpoint experience  to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role you will oversee and manage payroll operations for a workforce of 1,100 employees. This role will initially be a 3-month temporary position with the potential for permanent employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while managing one payroll staff member.

Hourly Rate: $45.00 - $65.00/hour
Job Type: Contract to Hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for 1,100 employees using Costpoint and ADP systems.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding payroll.
• Supervise and mentor one payroll staff member, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborate with HR and finance departments to streamline payroll operations.
• Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Utilize UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) software as a plus to enhance payroll efficiency.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and relevant authorities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role, preferably with experience managing a large employee base.
• Proficiency in Costpoint and ADP payroll systems is required; experience with UKG is a plus.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, with three days in the Tysons, VA office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
