Job Description
Part-time Paralegal Assignment Focus: System One is partnering with a client in hiring for a Part-time Paralegal. The Paralegal will support the Chief Legal Officer in managing, drafting, reviewing, and maintaining a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documents critical to manufacturing operations. The Paralegal has a strong understanding of contract law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage company customer, vendor, patent, trademark, and corporate contract files.
- Assist with renewals of expiring company agreements including drafting extension documents and tracking signature process.
- Assist in meeting deadlines for internal collection of information related to existing and pending patents and trademarks.
- Assist in discovery for litigation.
- Conduct legal research as needed.
- Assist with various special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited paralegal program or a Bachelor’s degree in an ABA-approved program preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Investigative mind and strong research skills.
- Strong problem solving, critical thinking, judgment and decision-making skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to self-drive and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
