OverviewNurse Practitioner - Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Cameo Dental Specialists Our well-established Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery practice is seeking a highly motivated Surgical Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our collaborative care team. The Surgical APRN will work closely with oral surgeons and manage patients throughout the surgical continuum--from pre-operative assessment to intraoperative assistance and post-operative care. Clinical training will be provided upon hire, and new graduates are encouraged to apply. An active APRN license is required at the time of hire. Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm or same hours as the doctors schedule they assist ResponsibilitiesReviewing medical histories with patients and patient's primary care physician or specialistsAssessing the pre-operative patientStarting IV linesAccurate documentation of patient medical recordsAssisting doctor in surgery, as neededCaring for patient recovery and discharge dutiesPhone triageScheduling OR surgeries at local hospital or surgery center, as neededOrdering clinical supplies and pharmaceuticalsMaintaining emergency cart and equipment QualificationsRequirementsMaster's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institutionActive and unrestricted APRN license in the state of practice (required upon hire)Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificationsPreferred Skills and QualificationsPrior experience in oral surgery, head and neck surgery, or another surgical specialtyFamiliarity with sedation protocols and post-anesthesia careExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to continuous education and staying current on clinical practices.We OfferCompetitive CompensationComprehensive Benefits Package for Full Time Employees: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Flexible Spending Accounts, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and much more!
