Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. + Experience working in a laboratory environment. Preferred qualifications: + Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. + Knowledge of safety regulations and lab protocols. + Proficiency with lab equipment and testing procedures. + Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and teamwork skills. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$151,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google ( . + Characterize materials and conduct prototype testing using a range of instruments and equipment, including Instron, DMA, rheometer, etc. + Analyze and interpret test results, and communicate findings to key stakeholders. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop testing procedures and methodologies that validate and achieve design objectives. + Partner with both internal and external stakeholders to build comprehensive material property databases. + Develop new testing protocols for evolving needs.
