Summary

We are seeking an experienced Investigator to assist with personal injury cases. This person can help maximize cases from the beginning to end of each case by jump starting crash investigations, assessing body cam footage, pursuing witness statements, and asking as many questions as possible about case details.

Responsibilities

  • Signing up potential new clients and proactive approach to intakes
  • Enter detailed notes and keep cases updated in Litify
  • Draft correspondence to the Attorney General when they choose to withhold videos or other evidence
  • Surveying the scene of the wreck, examining physical evidence such as skid marks, debris fields, and impact points to determine what happened in the wreck
  • Locating, and interviewing witnesses to a wreck to gather information about how it occurred, what happened immediately before and all other details needed for the case
  • Following up on reports and claims with detail and precision
  • Reviewing records such as medical reports, video of scene, autopsy reports, test results, insurance claims, and vehicle registration documents to determine liability in a personal injury claim
  • Interviewing victims of the wreck to obtain information about their injuries and the impact the injuries have on their lives
  • Conducting research on causes of a wreck and prevention methods, including studying engineering and design flaws in vehicles or roadways
  • Preparing detailed reports that include information about the wreck circumstances, findings of fact, conclusions, and recommendations for preventing future similar accidents
  • Investigating traffic wrecks; initiating proper assistance, including wreckers, ambulances, fire department personnel, and law enforcement
  • Locating and photographing and videoing cars involved in the wreck
  • Other duties as assigned
